AMPA accepts direct entry applications, so you can apply here and we will support you every step of the way!
To help you prepare for what to expect, we’ve outlined the steps to apply and start your music or dance course with AMPA.

Complete Application Form
Fill in the application form to get the process started. It only takes 5 minutes to complete!

Confirmation of Application
Once you have submitted your form, an admissions team member will be in touch to discuss any questions you have and to schedule a visit or audition/interview for you.

Audition
For music (performance) and dance courses, the audition is an opportunity to show us your where your strengths lie and our staff to provide personalised advice.
Music composition/production applicants should provide some examples of their work. This can include a range of formats, including your DAW software files eg. Logic, GarageBand, ProTools, scores, arrangements or finished recordings.

Information
International & Interstate Applicants:
If you are an interstate or international applicant, our admissions team will let you know about ways to submit your audition via video recording, or by alternative arrangements.
If you’re moving from a rural or remote area to study at AMPA the Tertiary Access Payment provides a one off payment of up to $5,000 to help.

International applicants who come from non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the minimum English proficiency requirements prior to commencing a degree. For more information please go to the International Students page.
Accepting Your Offer:
After completing your audition, our staff will evaluate the results and guide you on the best path to reach your full potential.
If your audition or portfolio submission is successful you will receive a Letter of Offer to study at AMPA. This will include instructions on how to log-in to the AMPA Online portal where you can respond to your offer.
By accepting an offer to study at AMPA your place is secure! We’ll then get in touch with you to help prepare for your orientation and keep you posted with the latest student events and opportunities.
