The world is in a strange place: war rages, conflict – both physical and verbal – permeate our culture. Discourse has been replaced by anger and a failure to listen. The real question is: is this anything new?Theatre has always been a catalyst for Social and Political change. Whether through the works of Bertolt Brecht, or a young Jonathan Larson, people who tell stories have never failed to try and leave the world all the better for their art. In this Trimester’s Music Theatre Production you will hear young people sing of all sorts of freedom. You will hear them sing about loss, about abuse, but you will also hear them sing for the hope that’s to come. They will reach out to you and ask you to see them.

The Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) invites dancers to experience a dynamic day on campus. Register, bring your friends, and get ready to move.
Throughout the day, you’ll take part in a variety of classes led by AMPA’s inspiring faculty, offering a glimpse into what it’s like to study dance full-time in a professional training environment.
You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a Q&A session with the Head of Dance, designed to give aspiring dancers, choreographers, and future educators valuable insight into tertiary study and the pathways it can open. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our welcoming student community and expert faculty, while experiencing first-hand what it means to be part of AMPA’s Bachelor and Associate of Dance programs.

The Academy of Music and Performing Arts is ready to welcome budding performers and composers to our music campus for our Classical Music and Composition Experience Day.
Spend a day on campus at AMPA to learn what studying Classical Music or Composition is like at a tertiary level and to find out how you can benefit from AMPA’s elite training as part of our Bachelor or Associate Degree in Music (Performance).
At Experience Day, once you have been given a guided tour of our practice studios and performance spaces, you will have have your choice of Classical Music or Composition workshops to attend, the chance to observe Classical Performance Classes, and enjoy relaxed Q&A sessions with our faculty and admissions department, while also connecting with our student body to gain real perspectives on student life at AMPA.

Calling all triple threats! While you’re waiting for your big break, AMPA is excited to invite passionate performers and theatre makers to our Music Theatre Experience Day.
This is your chance to find out what studying Music Theatre at a pre-professional level looks like, learn what the Music Theatre industry is looking for and to experience the training it takes to become a true triple threat performer within our Bachelor or Associate Degree of Music (Performance).
At Experience Day, you will receive a tour of our music campus and our dedicated performance space, the Tom Mann Theatre, followed by the chance to watch our Music Theatre Performance Class and attend a Music Theatre Workshop as our students prepare their end of trimester showcase. You are also invited to partake in Q&As with our faculty of Music Theatre professionals, our admissions team for information about auditions, and our student body for their perspective on life at AMPA.

Get ready to rock out at AMPA with our Contemporary Music and Music Production Experience Day – whether you’re a jazz cat, metalhead or DJ in the making, Experience Day will give you the info you need if you’re considering the path of a musician.
Our Bachelor or Associate Degree of Music (Performance) could be the next step in your journey and our Experience Day will be your chance to learn what studying music at a tertiary level looks like and how it can benefit your career.
After a tour of our music studios, recording/editing suites and performance space, you’ll get the chance to watch our students in action during Contemporary Performance Class, followed by your choice of either a Performance or Production workshop, with time to have casual Q&As with our industry staff, admissions team and student body about anything from networking and training, auditions or campus life.
